Programme Videographer

Job Title: Programme Videographer

About OSP:

The Oxford Scholars Programme is a two-week residential summer school for ambitious 14–18 year olds from around the world. Each summer, 100 exceptional students from 40+ countries come together in Oxford to learn from leading academics, develop as leaders, and have the kind of experiences they’ll talk about for the rest of their lives.

We’re looking for a talented videographer to document it all.

The Opportunity:

This is a great portfolio project for a skilled graduate or final-year student. You’ll spend two weeks embedded in a fast-moving, visually rich programme — historic college settings, high-energy group activities, genuine human moments — with a clear brief and a supportive team around you.

The content you create will appear across OSP’s social media, website, and marketing materials, reaching thousands of prospective students and families worldwide.

What You'll Be Doing:

On the ground (filming)

  • Be on-site each day capturing the full life of the programme — lectures, activities, excursions, social events, and graduation
  • Shoot across formats: short social clips, cinematic highlights, and candid behind-the-scenes moments
  • Work from a shot list provided by the OSP team, while bringing your own eye to every shoot
  • Pick up photography when needed to supplement video content

Back at your desk (editing)

  • Edit and deliver a programme highlight reel and regular short-form clips for social throughout the two weeks
  • Colour grade footage, add captions where needed, and deliver in agreed formats
  • Expect some editing time in the evenings or a post-programme delivery window — we’ll agree the schedule upfront

Working with the team

  • Collaborate closely with the Programme Director and Communications Officer
  • Be adaptable — OSP days move fast and no two days are the same
  • Handle your kit responsibly and keep things running smoothly on the filming side

Safeguarding

  • Follow OSP’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all times when filming minors
  • Manage consent for all filmed content in line with OSP’s media policies
  • Complete an enhanced DBS check before the programme starts (cost covered by OSP)

Who We're Looking For:

You’ll need:

  • A portfolio showing solid videography and editing work — quality matters more than quantity
  • Confidence in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
  • Experience shooting in busy, unpredictable environments
  • Your own camera kit suitable for indoor and outdoor filming
  • A genuine instinct for storytelling — knowing when to roll and what to look for
  • Comfort working around young people aged 14–18
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • Previous work on events, youth, or educational projects
  • Photography skills
  • Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube formats
  • Drone experience with CAA certification

What You Get:

  • £250–£300/day depending on experience
  • DBS check covered
  • Full access to all programme activities — this is a genuinely special environment to work in
  • A distinctive body of work: Oxford colleges, global students, real stories
  • Clear editorial direction alongside real creative freedom
  • A supportive team who want the content to be great

How to Apply:

Submit your CV and a link to your portfolio or showreel via our online application form. Tell us briefly in your cover note why this project appeals to you.

Application Deadline: 20th April 2026

(Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.)

OSP is committed to safeguarding and protecting children. All staff members undergo enhanced DBS checks. Only candidates who are successful in their application will be contacted.
