How is OSP related to University of Oxford?
OSP independently hires facilities from the University of Oxford and engages educators who teach at the university. However, it operates independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Oxford as a summer program for high school students.
Who teaches the course at OSP?
All courses at OSP are taught by top academics, researchers, and industry professionals from world-renowned institutions. This ensures that scholars benefit from world-class expertise and engaging, discussion-based teaching throughout their Oxford summer school experience.
Who looks after the scholars during the programme?
Scholar wellbeing is our top priority. At OSP, scholars are supported 24/7 by a team of dedicated Residential Advisors (RAs), Team Advisors, and Programme Staff. All team members undergo safeguarding training, are enhanced DBS checked, and are carefully selected for their experience in mentoring young people.
Will I have the opportunity to visit other places during the programme?
Yes! As part of this summer program for high school students, OSP includes cultural excursions and day trips to iconic UK destinations like London. These outings are a fun and enriching part of your Oxford summer school experience.
Do non-EU, non-UK nationals need a visa to attend OSP?
For non-EU, non-UK nationals, a Standard Visitor Visa is required to attend the Oxford Scholars Programme. Our team will guide you through the entire visa process, providing a Visa Support Letter and clear instructions for a smooth application.
How will I benefit from attending OSP?
Attending OSP helps you strengthen your university applications, gain real-world exposure through project-based learning, and develop life skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of your chosen subject area by working with top academics and engaging in intellectually stimulating discussions. What kind of insurance do I need?
We highly recommend that all scholars attending this summer program have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical treatment, travel delays, and personal belongings for the duration of the Oxford summer school.
Are parents allowed to visit during OSP?
Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up scholars on arrival and departure days. However, during the programme itself, we encourage full immersion, and visits are not permitted in order to maintain the integrity of the scholar experience.
