Accommodation & Travel

At the Oxford Scholars Programme, the comfort and well-being of our students are our top priorities. We ensure the best possible experience by providing modern accommodations at Linacre College and offering seamless travel arrangements, including airport transfers from Heathrow and Gatwick. Your stay and travel comfort are essential to us, allowing you to focus on enjoying and maximizing your academic journey in Oxford.

Accommodation & Food

  • Over the two week period, students will be staying at the prestigious Linacre College, one of the oldest and most picturesque colleges at the University of Oxford. They will have the opportunity to experience historic student accommodation, complete with all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including lecture halls, libraries, and sports facilities, making their stay at Oxford a truly memorable experience.

  • Accommodation (check-in 4th August and check-out 17th August) and food costs (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are already included in the programme fees.

  • Please note that two students will share a double ensuite room during their stay at Linacre College.

Airport Transfer

  • We understand that travelling to a new place can be a daunting experience, which is why we want to make your journey as easy and stress-free as possible. Hence, we are pleased to offer a reliable and comfortable bus service that will transport students from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports to Oxford. This service is available on the 4th of August 2024 and includes three scheduled departure times at 9 am, 2 pm, and 7 pm. Upon arrival at the airport, students will be met by our experienced and friendly drivers who will transport them directly to the accommodation. We want to ensure that every student’s journey to Oxford is as comfortable as possible, so they can start their Oxford experience in the best possible way. A similar service will also be available for the student’s return back to the airport on the 17th of August 2024.

  • This service is included in the programme fee, so students do not have to worry about any additional costs.

Visa Requirements

  • For students who require a visa to travel to the UK to attend the Oxford Scholars Programme, it is their responsibility to obtain the appropriate visa before travelling.

  • To check if you need a UK visa, please visit https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa.

  • We recommend that applicants who require a visa apply for a Standard Visitor visa, which permits attendance at a short course of study, including our programme. For more information about this visa, please visit the UK government website at https://gov.uk/standard-visitor.

  • It is also important to ensure that your passport has at least 6 months’ validity before its expiry, as this is a requirement for entry into the UK.

  • A special visa advisor will be assigned to students who need additional support to facilitate during the process.
