At the Oxford Scholars Programme, we believe where you stay is just as important as what you learn. That’s why we arrange accommodation in select Oxford colleges, giving scholars an authentic Oxford summer school experience. Our scholars live and learn in historic college settings that combine comfort, tradition, and academic excellence, creating the perfect environment to study, socialise, and grow.
St Hugh's College
Founded in 1886 by Elizabeth Wordsworth, St Hugh’s College is renowned for its beautiful gardens, inclusive spirit, and distinguished alumni, including former UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi. Its serene, historic setting offers the perfect home for scholars during their Oxford summer school experience.
St Anne’s College
Founded in 1879, St Anne’s is one of Oxford’s largest colleges, with five acres of scenic grounds, creating a serene yet vibrant environment. Home to a diverse community of thinkers and innovators, the college fosters creativity and collaboration in a friendly, supportive setting. The college combines historic accommodations with a welcoming atmosphere, offering well-equipped facilities for a comfortable stay.
Linacre College
Nestled in a tranquil setting near Oxford’s vibrant city center, found in 1962, the Linacre College, offers modern accommodation with excellent facilities, fostering a welcoming environment for students. Its central location ensures easy access to amenities and the historic charm of Oxford.
Somerville College
Established in 1879 as one of Oxford’s first women’s colleges, Somerville College has a proud legacy of producing many remarkable alumni such as Margaret Thatcher, the UK’s first female Prime Minister, and Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. With its stunning red-brick architecture, tranquil gardens, and central location, Somerville offers Scholars a truly inspiring and welcoming setting for their Oxford summer school experience.

Dining & College Life
Scholars enjoy three nutritious meals daily in traditional Oxford dining halls, experiencing university life just like real Oxford students. Meals cater to all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, halal, vegan, and gluten-free options.
In addition to academic spaces, students have access to college common rooms, lounges, and gardens, encouraging a sense of community and global friendship, hallmarks of the OSP summer school experience.
Dietary Accommodations
Having welcomed students from over 40 countries, we take pride in offering a truly global summer school experience. As such, we do all we can to assure that students of all cultural and religious backgrounds are able to fully participate in the summer school while honouring their beliefs. We work to accommodate all dietary requirements, including Kosher, Halal, Vegan and Vegetarian, while also offering multifaith prayer rooms for students to observe their faith as they wish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have to share a room or facilities?
All standard rooms at the Oxford Scholars Programme are single occupancy, offering scholars privacy and comfort throughout their stay. Bathroom and toilet facilities are shared and maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
Accommodation is separated by gender, and each residential area is supervised by trained staff to ensure safety and wellbeing.
If you prefer an ensuite room with a private toilet, this can be arranged for an additional charge – please email the OSP team to inquire about availability. All college accommodation also includes common areas and lounges where students can relax and connect with peers during their Oxford summer school experience.
Can I request a single room with private facilities?
In most cases, single rooms are provided, but private ensuite facilities are limited and may be available upon request for an additional fee. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Are laundry services available?
Yes. Each college provides access to paid laundry facilities, and scholars are given instructions on how to use them during their stay.
Are there common rooms or lounges for students?
Yes. Scholars attending our Oxford summer school enjoy access to common rooms and student lounges in the college. These social spaces are perfect for relaxing, studying, or connecting with peers between academic sessions.
Can I request to stay with a friend?
Yes, you may request to share accommodation with a friend. While we do our best to honour requests, they are subject to availability.
How are students monitored throughout the day?
The Oxford Scholars Programme provides round-the-clock supervision. Our pastoral team conducts regular check-ins, head counts, and group huddles. Scholars are closely supervised during all Oxford summer school activities, including classes, meals, and excursions.
