Day 7: Ethics and Aesthetics in Literature: Developing Critical Perspectives

Day 8: Shakespeare’s Language – Part I: Understanding the Text

Day 9: Shakespeare’s Language – Part II: Performance and Dialogue

Day 10: Summative Workshop: Reflecting on Literature, Writing, and Language Mastery

During the two-week English summer school, scholars will apply the skills they’ve developed, literature analysis, academic writing, language fluency, to a guided research project. 

 

  • Choose a topic you find interesting, such as a novel, poem, or language theme.
  • Develop a focused research question with your tutor’s help.
  • Analyse your chosen material through close reading and interpretation.
  • Write a concise, well-structured report presenting your findings.

All team members undergo safeguarding training, are enhanced DBS checked, and are carefully selected for their experience in mentoring young people.

Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up scholars on arrival and departure days. However, during the programme itself, we encourage full immersion, and visits are not permitted in order to maintain the integrity of the scholar experience.
