About OSP

OSP is proud to collaborate with the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) in delivering a world-class summer programme for high school students in 2026.
International Law and Politics Module Overview:
The International Law & Politics module introduces students to the foundations of global governance, legal frameworks, and international relations. Students explore how governments, international institutions, and legal systems interact to address major global challenges, covering topics such as international law, human rights, conflict and peace, the United Nations, migration, global inequality, climate change, and emerging technologies.
Through a combination of morning lectures and afternoon workshops, students engage in debates, case studies, and policy drafting exercises. The module culminates in a mock International Court of Justice (ICJ) simulation, where students represent states, build legal arguments, and present cases before a panel of judges. This hands-on experience develops critical thinking, negotiation, legal reasoning, and public speaking skills while giving students practical insight into how law and politics operate on the international stage.
You will be provided with a full module handbook and approximately 80% of the course content, with 20% left flexible for you to adapt based on your expertise and teaching style. If you require any additional teaching materials, classroom resources, or further clarification regarding the handbook or programme content, please inform the OSP staff in advance so we can provide timely support.
