Every summer, high school students from across UAE (ages 14–18) join the Oxford Scholars Programme for a once-in-a-lifetime academic and cultural experience in the heart of Oxford, UK.
Participants stay in authentic Oxford college accommodation and immerse themselves in an intellectually vibrant environment—surrounded by cobbled lanes, historic buildings, and centuries of scholarly tradition

What is OSP?OSP is an immersive summer school in Oxford for high school students aged 14-18. As one of the best summer programs for high school students, it offers a unique blend of academic excellence, industry immersion, and holistic development. How competitive is OSP?Admission is competitive. As one of the most sought-after high school summer programs, we welcome students with a strong academic background, leadership potential, and a keen interest in their chosen field of study. Applicants must submit a personal statement along with their school academic transcript and will be invited for an interview. Only the top candidates are selected, ensuring a cohort of exceptional scholars.

How is OSP related to University of Oxford?OSP independently hires facilities from the University of Oxford and engages educators who teach at the university. However, it operates independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Oxford.

Who teaches the module at OSP?All modules at OSP are taught by top academics, researchers, and industry professionals from world-renowned institutions. This ensures that scholars benefit from world-class expertise and engaging, discussion-based teaching throughout their Oxford summer school experience.

Who looks after the scholars during the programme?Scholar wellbeing is our top priority. At OSP, scholars are supported 24/7 by a team of dedicated Residential Advisors (RAs), Team Advisors, and Programme Staff. All team members undergo safeguarding training, are enhanced DBS checked, and are carefully selected for their experience in mentoring young people.

Will I have the opportunity to visit other places during the programme?Yes! OSP includes cultural excursions and day trips to iconic UK destinations like London. These outings are a fun and enriching part of your Oxford summer school experience.

How will I benefit from attending OSP?Attending OSP helps you strengthen your university applications, gain real-world exposure through project-based learning, and develop life skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of your chosen subject area by working with top academics and engaging in intellectually stimulating discussions. What kind of insurance do I need?We highly recommend that all scholars have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical treatment, travel delays, and personal belongings for the duration of the Oxford summer school.

Are parents allowed to visit during OSP?Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up scholars on arrival and departure days. However, during the programme itself, we encourage full immersion, and visits are not permitted in order to maintain the integrity of the scholar experience.

What are the programme dates?3rd August 2025 (check-in) to 16th August 2025 (check-out).

What is included in the fee?Included in the programme fee: All module teaching and workshops Accommodation for 13 nights 3 meals a day Graduation ceremony All programme activities and excursions Airport transfer to and from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports at select date and times. Not included in the programme fee: Airfare to and from the UK Travel insurance (if required) Visa costs (if required) Personal expenses such as toiletries, snacks, and drinks outside of meal times.

Are scholarships or financial assistance available?Yes. We offer a range of scholarships and financial aid opportunities to ensure that our program is accessible to all talented and motivated students. To be eligible for OSP scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Academic achievement Applicants must provide a strong academic transcript: • O-Levels/IGCSE: Mostly A/A (7-9 grades)* • IB: Predicted or achieved 38+ out of 45, with 6s and 7s in HL subjects • AP: Mostly 5s (with a few 4s) on AP exams, and a 3.9+ unweighted GPA • Other Systems: the equivalent of above in their local board examinations. 2. Essay Applicants must submit a 500 word essay on a global issue that resonates with them, its broader impact, and how they envision contributing to its resolution. 3. Financial need Applicants must demonstrate financial need by submitting a statement of financial support and/or other relevant documentation. Applicants who meet the criteria will be considered for the scholarship. Please note that there are a limited number of scholarships available and meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded.

How should I pay for my module?You can pay for the course through bank transfer. Further details will be provided directly to students once they are selected for the programme.

Where is this module hosted?During the programme, students will stay at four of Oxford’s most picturesque colleges—St. Anne’s, St. Hugh’s, Somerville and Linacre—ensuring an authentic Oxford summer school experience.

What can I expect from the academic modules?Students can choose one module from seven offered options, each offering an immersive experience of Oxford summer courses. These modules include interactive workshops, lectures, and practical sessions with experts in the field to give students an in-depth understanding of a specific subject.

Am I allowed to study more than one module?No, students can only select one module to ensure a focused and immersive learning experience.

Will I get a certificate upon completion?Yes, all successful students will receive a certificate during the graduation ceremony, acknowledging their academic achievement and participation in the programme.

Will I have to share a room or facilities?All our standard rooms are single occupancy with shared toilet and bathroom facilities. If you prefer an ensuite room with a private toilet, this can be arranged for an additional charge—please email the OSP team to inquire about availability. All accommodation areas have common spaces and are supervised by staff to ensure scholar comfort and safety.

Can I request a single room with private facilities?In most cases, single rooms are provided, but private ensuite facilities are limited and may be available upon request for an additional fee. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Are laundry services available?Yes. Each college provides access to paid laundry facilities, and scholars are given instructions on how to use them during their stay.

When should I arrive for OSP?Arrival dates will be clearly outlined in your Welcome Pack. Typically, scholars arrive the day before the programme teaching begins to settle in and attend orientation activities.

What is the refund policy if I cancel my booking?Cooling-Off Period: Full refunds are available within 14 days of submitting the deposit. Refunds after the cooling-off period: 0-60 days before the start date: No refund 61-119 days before the start date: 40% refund 120 days or more before the start date: 80% refund After the Start Date: No refunds will be provided after the programme begins, except at the sole discretion of the Oxford Scholars Programme.

How do I get to my accommodation in Oxford?Scholars arriving at London Heathrow Airport on designated arrival days will be met by OSP staff and escorted to their accommodation. Detailed travel instructions and support will be provided ahead of time.

Do I need a visa to attend OSP?Yes, if you require a visa to enter the UK, you will need one to attend OSP. Some nationalities are visa-exempt, while others will need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa. For scholars who do require a visa, our team will provide a visa invitation letter along with full support and guidance to help with the application process.

Am I allowed to study more than one module?Unfortunately, students are only able to select one module from the six options offered for the OSP Oxford Experience. We believe that focusing on a single module provides a more immersive and comprehensive learning experience.
