Job Title: Module Tutor – International Business & Finance Module

Location: St Hugh’s College, Oxford

Compensation: £40 per hour

Number of hours: 40 hours per programme

Contract Type: Short-term

Programme Dates:

7th–16th July 2025
21st- 30th July 2025
5th-14th August 2025

Teaching Schedule:

Teaching typically follows the below format:

• Lectures: 09:00–11:00

• Project Tutorials: 14:00–16:00

This dynamic module equips students with a foundational understanding of core business concepts, innovation strategies, and financial principles. Students will explore firm valuation, financial market operations, and investment decision-making. Additionally, they will develop the skills to evaluate businesses, identify market opportunities, and create strategic plans for sustainable growth in a competitive global landscape.

Curriculum Design: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans.
Hands-On Instruction: Lead interactive discussions, business case studies, and financial simulations to immerse students in real-world business and finance challenges.
Student Engagement: Inspire and mentor students, fostering critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and an understanding of financial markets.
Assessment and Feedback: Design assessments and provide constructive, personalized feedback to support student progress and analytical skills.
Resource Development: Create comprehensive instructional materials, including handouts, financial models, and presentation slides.
Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with OSP staff and fellow educators to ensure a cohesive and impactful learning experience.
Administrative Duties: Manage daily attendance, prepare student progress reports, and ensure timely feedback and grading.
Ethical Standards: Promote a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment while upholding OSP’s guidelines and values.

Subject Expertise: Strong background in international business, economics, finance, entrepreneurship, or corporate strategy.
Inspirational Educator: Passionate about teaching and motivating young minds using interactive, discussion-based learning.
Adaptability: Skilled at tailoring teaching strategies to accommodate diverse student needs, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.
Strong Communication: Exceptional ability to convey complex business and financial concepts clearly and engagingly.
Organizational Skills: Effective time management and multitasking abilities to balance teaching and administrative responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications:

A Master’s degree or PhD in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Prior teaching experience, preferably in tutorial settings at Oxford or a similar institution.
Experience working with 14–18-year-olds.
Proven expertise in designing and delivering academic content for young learners.
