Exploring Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship:

Igniting the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Overview

Participants will engage in a blend of theory and hands-on activities to analyze market dynamics, identify business opportunities, and develop innovative solutions. The module will cover essential areas, including growth strategy formulation, financial management, and legal considerations in entrepreneurship. Students will gain practical experience in creating business plans, building teams, and pitching ideas to stakeholders. Emphasizing financial literacy and investment strategies, this module will equip students with the necessary tools to excel in the competitive business landscape.

Module Structure

Students will be provided with pre-recorded videos and relevant reading materials for each teaching session, which they will review before attending the daily lecture.

Each day will feature a two-hour lecture session to discuss the content covered in the videos and readings. Students will be encouraged to note down any questions that arise during their study, which they can bring to the session or email to the programme leader in advance.

There will be a two-hour workshop session that will focus on applying the lecture material to understand practical applications and real-world scenarios of the concepts discussed, allowing students to engage in hands-on activities, group discussions, and case study analyses to deepen their comprehension and apply their knowledge effectively.

Projects

​The Oxford Scholars Programme offers an innovative approach to learning through project-based learning. During the programme, you will have the opportunity to work on one project under the guidance of an academic tutor, in a one-on-one setting. This hands-on experience will allow you to apply knowledge learnt during lectures in a practical context, culminating in a project proposal or report by the end of the programme.
