OXFORD: A Visual Journey

All Souls College Chapel: The baroque Chapel screen was designed by Sir James Thornhill in 1816, and restored and gilded in the late twentieth century. It replaced a screen which was attributed to Christopher Wren.

The Chapel of Brasenose College, Oxford The Chapel is situated between the Deer Park and New Quad is dedicated to St Hugh and St Chad and was built during the seventeenth century. The Chapel is in a mixture of architectural styles – Gothic, neoclassical, and baroque

The Del Favero Reading Room, Greenland Library, Brasenose College, Oxford: A short distance from the Bodleian Library, the Brasenose College Library holds more than 60,000 books and periodicals. The Del Favero Reading Room was opened in 1664 and has a painted barrel-vaulted ceiling. Beneath this and linked with a spiral staircase sits the Smith Reading Room.

Old Quad, Brasenose College, Oxford: For the first hundred years of its existence the College consisted of just one quadrangle (Old Quad) and all College accommodation was situated on Old Quad.

The Fellows’ Garden, Exeter College, Oxford: In the college's Fellows' Garden, in which stands the library, designed by Gilbert Scott in the 13th-century style.
